American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. Her acting career began in supporting roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). She was later a reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt and played a supporting role in the short-lived series The Ex List. In the first season of FX's American Horror Story, she starred as Moira O'Hara's younger character. She later played Kaylee in season three. She portrayed Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She voiced a variety of characters on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since the year 2019, she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge lived in Darien, Connecticut, until 10 years old at which point she and her mother moved to California. There, they were able to move around for a year before eventually settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to take an interest in acting, singing, and photography at 13. Breckenridge moved back to Los Angeles with the help from her mother around the age of 15.
