The band toured Boston's club circuit . They were guided by Frank Connelly their first manager. They began working together with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. In 1972 they signed a recording agreement and debuted their first album. It was followed by Get Your Wings. Toys in the Attic. Rocks. and Draw the Line. These albums contributed to Aerosmith to gain fame internationally. The albums produced legendary hits like "Dream On", Walk This Way, "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way". Aerosmith's initial five albums have also been multi-platinum as well as Toys in the Attic and Rocks are thought to be among the top hard rock albums ever made. As the decade went by, however, the band's chaotic schedule of traveling, recording, and living together started to wear them down. For their notorious use of drugs and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were sometimes referred to as the Toxic Twins. Their relationship is documented in numerous Aerosmith's video releases and in the Aerosmith Behind the Music. Tyler was more committed to the band and seemed to dislike Perry's passive attitude. Perry, however, envied Tyler's preference for the women in her life. Aerosmith's steady decline is likely caused by the tension between Tyler and Perry as well as their once-friendly friendships.
