Annabelle Gurwitch

Annabelle Gurwitch, an American comedian and host of a television show, is most well-known for her tenure as host of Dinner and a Movie. She has also been a vocal advocate on the environment and human rights. Annabelle Gurwitch, a New York Times best-selling author and highly acclaimed actress, is The New York Times's Top-Seller Author of her memoirs In the Place You Are They Are I See You Made An Effort I Said Tomato You Say Fired I say Shut Up and Fired. The book was also featured on an episode of a Showtime Comedy Special. Gurwitch was the host of Dinner & a Movie on TBS for many years. TV viewers may be able to recall her appearances on shows such as Better Things Boston Legal Seinfeld Dexter Murphy Brown as well as the sustainability program WA$TED which was broadcast by The Planet Green Network. Gurwitch is a regular host presenter on PBS Newhour Real Time With Bill Maher, NPR and writes op-eds and satires for The New York Times WSJ The Hollywood Reporter and Op-eds and satires to The New Yorker. The New York Times, and also the Los Angeles Times have ranked her among their annual Top Ten performance of the year for her stage work. Annabelle is an experienced woman who imparts her knowledge about aging and ways to laugh at it in an age-defying society. She's performed her acclaimed material at international theater festivals as well as in the 1992 St Y Prevention Magazine AARP events and in women's groups throughout the country.
