Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and competing with the UFC flyweight division. She is also the older sister of former UFC Flyweight champ and fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after getting bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011, and the 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia started her professional career in at the age of 2003. She was the winner of at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in 2012 as well as The Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002 when she took on Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious by TKO at the end of round 2 and then won her 2 subsequent fights and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a hiatus to concentrate on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by the unanimous verdict. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. She left the club and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her striking abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. Antonina took a UFC offer after her victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC at her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner during her subsequent three bouts beating Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee.
